When units overlap stratigraphically, we make special efforts to display the information in an understandable way. Notice that each unit is labeled in more than one place using the same text color as its corresponding outline. In this example, there are two deep units outlined in blue (Coachman and Clinton Deep) and three shallower ones (Buffalo Gal, Southmore Shallow and South Blowout Basin) using different colored dashed lines. | |
