Before Sliver Clean-up

Notice the white "sliver" caused when government survey lots do not abut mathematical aliquots within a section. That's because the section is not exactly 5,280 feet on a side, the lots are specifically defined as a certain shape by the Extended Grid, and the mathematical aliquots are only 1/2 the east-west and north-south distance, for example. You will typically see slivers in First- or Expanded-Look Maps.

When we manually clean them up in a Land-Study map, they can look like this.
